Welcome to the 9th conference on Applications of Social Network Analysis in Zurich, Switzerland. ASNA 2012 has the goal to assess the state of the art and discuss current developments in social network research. As for the previous years, ASNA 2012 will primarily provide an interdisciplinary venue with a focus on applications of social network analysis. However, submissions on theoretical or methodological issues as well as software demos are also welcome. There are no limitations with respect to scientific disciplines and research questions.
